India is committed to its unique partnership with Bhutan: Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said India wants to maintain an unique relationship with Bhutan to ensure progress and prosperity of both the nations.

He made the remark in his Republic Day tweet posted in response to Bhutan PM's wish on the special occasion.

"Thank you @PMBhutan Dr. Lotay Tshering for your warm wishes! India is committed to its unique partnership with Bhutan for progress and prosperity of both our nations," Modi tweeted.

In his wish, PM Lotay Tshering said: "The people of Bhutan and I send our best wishes and prayers to the people of India on the 74th Republic Day. As India charts a new path ahead, I offer my good wishes for India’s progress and prosperity."

India observed Republic Day on Thursday.
