Cristiano Ronaldo has invited four Manchester United stars to Saudi Arabia to say goodbye after his unceremonious exit from the club.

Ronaldo officially left the Old Trafford club while he was at the Qatar World Cup with Portugal. It meant he was unable to say a proper farewell to everyone at the club.

But now things have settled down a bit, he has been in touch with some of his old friends in an attempt to arrange a holiday to Portugal and Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo invites four Man Utd players to Portugal and Saudi Arabia

According to The Sun, Ronaldo has messaged some of his former teammates to see if they'd be keen to meet up in the summer and play him play for Al-Nassr.

But Ronaldo has only reached out to four Man Utd players - Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Raphael Varane.

A United insider said: “There are still a few lads here who have nothing but respect for Ronny and were sad how it all ended, because they never got to say a proper goodbye.

“He recently left the player WhatsApp groups but promised to keep in touch with a few and has invited them to his new place in Lisbon and to Saudi to watch him play.

“Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Raphael Varane are all mates.

“His place in Lisbon sounds incredible — and he can certainly now afford it!”

As we explained last week, Ronaldo is having his 'forever home' built on a plot of land in Quinta da Marinha.

Ronaldo, who now earns £175 million-per-year at his new club, is estimated to have paid around £17 million for his house which is expected to be completed in June.

However, it was reported that he's yet to fill the vacancy of his own personal chef with the job specification stating the successful applicant should be comfortable cooking ‘traditional Portuguese food – as well as more international dishes like sushi’.

The job comes with a £4,500-a-month (£54,000 per-year) salary but hasn’t attracted the calibre of candidates that the family expected, which is reporting ‘causing Ronaldo real headaches’.

He'll certainly be hoping to have that role filled by the time Maguire, Fernandes, Casemiro and Varane arrive.

Or else they may all have to order a takeaway - something that is unlikely to go down well with Erik ten Hag!
