Romance is on the cards for Summer House star Carl Radke.

Fans of the show, which streams on Hayu in the UK, watched as his relationship with co-star Lindsay Hubbard blossomed into an engagement, and then dramatically ended with a cancelled wedding. But, speaking to Daily Star, Carl, 40, has said he's ready for some fun again.

The reality star returned for the ninth series of Summer House alongside ex Lindsay, who had got a new man since their split – and announced her pregnancy. They were joined in the house by the likes of hunk Jesse Solomon and Brooklyn Beckham's ex Lexi Wood.

In the latest episode, Carl admitted he hadn't slept with anyone the year since he'd split from Lindsay, 38. But a teaser for next week's episode showed him flirting with a new woman.

Carl told us: "I put myself out there this past summer.

"I shared on the episode that I hadn't been with anybody since Lindsay. It did take some time just to heal, in general. I didn't want to bring any dated feelings or a bag of stuff into dating or hooking up.

"And being a sober person, the one night stands like I used to do, it's not for me anymore. I'm also a lot more careful.

"So I'm trying to navigate, how do I put myself out there? How do I have some fun, but also not create a lot of drama or set myself up for disaster?"

He teased: "I started to flirt some more. I met a fair amount of people over the summer, but you'll see coming soon, I go on a date.

"I met her at a party, we had a fun flirty time. I then invited her to an event and we went on a date. I call it cringe dating because it's funny to watch back. But I'm learning how to date a little bit again, learning how to flirt and put myself out there.

"So it'll probably be cringy, but I'm proud of myself for trying to do it."

Summer House is yet to be renewed for its 10th season, but Carl is hopeful he'll get the call one last time.

He said: "I care a lot about what we do as a family. We can do another, one more run, maybe a different house.

"I think there's still some meat on the bone of just fun and stories and people's experiences."

He added: "If we make it to 10, we will have been on as long as Friends the TV show. I feel like we are the reality Friends, in some ways.

"Nothing against Jersey Shore, I love them, they're iconic, but I'm really proud of what we've been able to accomplish as just a group.

"We've had a lot of fun. People have been successful in their businesses or their careers, got in relationships, some ups and downs.

"I feel like there's one more for sure in us."

Revealing he is still single, Carl added that season 10 could include "more cringe dating". So fingers crossed for season 10!
