Leveraging his prior experience as a CPA with national accounting firms, John Welge focuses on middle-market mergers and acquisitions.
He has led deal teams in executing multimillion-dollar transactions for global clients. Among them is Emerson Electric Company’s sales and acquisitions of domestic and international companies, including a $99 million merger with Israel-based Spectronix. He also assisted Waterloo Bancshares with over $600 million in deals including acquisition of three Illinois banks.
Outside his practice, Welge has served as the board treasurer and board member of Operation Food Search.
He earned his law degree from the University of Houston in 1991.
